World leaders congratulate President Jahjaga on the seventh anniversary of the independence of Kosovo

Many Presidents and other personalities have sent congratulatory telegrams to the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, on the occasion of February 17th, anniversary of the declaration of independence of Republic of Kosovo.

President of Austria, Mr. Heinz Fisher states on his felicitatory note:

“On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Kosovo, with greatest pleasure I convey to you my warmest wishes. I use this opportunity to express my best wishes to your personal wellbeing and a prosperous future for the Republic of Kosovo and all of its citizens”.

President of Hungary, Mr. János Áder, on his note says:

Allow me to  express my best wishes to you and to all the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo on your National Day. It is a great pleasure for me that relations between our two countries have had an excellent development since the declaration of independence of Republic of Kosovo. Hungary continues to strongly support Kosovo’s European future; I assure you  that you can count on our support in realization of your integrational aspirations.

Wishing you prosperity in your general activities, please accept Madam President, assurances of my highest consideration.

President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan,  states in his felicitatory note:

“On behalf of my nation and on my personal behalf, I sincerely congratulate you and all Kosovars on the seventh anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Kosovo. I emphasize my full trust that close amicable and brotherly relations between Turkey and Kosovo, founded on ancient historic, cultural and human ties, with our joint endeavours, will also continue in the future. Turkey will continue to remain close to multicultural, democratic and prosperous Kosovo and will support Kosovo in all fields.

The process of the election of the Speaker of the Parliament and government forming after the snap elections held in June 2014, has demonstrated once again the democratic, social and institutional maturity of the Republic of Kosovo. In this context, your contribution to the post electoral process of political agreements is worth every commendation.

I believe that Kosovo under your leadership, as a respected country of the family of nations of the world, and as a trusted partner of the international community, will advance with solid steps towards integration in Euro-Atlantic institutions. Our support on this issue will continue. On this occasion, I reiterate my best wishes for your health and happiness and the wellbeing of amicable and fraternal people of Kosovo”.

President Jahjaga was also congratulated by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. On her letter, Her Majesty states:

“With greatest pleasure I convey to Your Excellency my warmest greetings on the celebration of your National day, together with my best wishes for the happiness and wellbeing of the people of Kosovo in the coming year”.
