The Preparatory Team on the establishment of the Truth adn Reconciliation Commission has commenced the second round of concultations, with the group of civilian victims and the family members of the missing. In this consultation proces, the Team plans to also include other groups of citizens, so that the inclusion will be even bigger, to create later on a legal basis based on the needs and requests of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
At the consultation with the representatives of civilian victims and of missing persons from different parts of Kosovo, family members expressed their opinions and suggestions on the Draft Normative Act, on the initiative in general but also the concerns that the issue of missing persons should be resolved. According to them, the Commission should be inclusive and professional and that peace should be an important element in it.
Public consultations are open to all target groups of the Preparatory Team and are a good opportunity to influence the direction the Commission should take.
