The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani commemorated today the Dukagjin Epopee.
President Osmani said that the Dukagjin Epopee is one of the most heroic events of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s war for the freedom of the country.

The Dukagjin Epopee is one of the most heroic events of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s war for the freedom of the country.
On March 24th, 1998, the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime attacked Gllogjan, where the Haradinaj family demonstrated with heroic resistance that freedom was non-negotiable.
The martyrs Himë Haradinaj, Gazmend and Agron Mehmetaj fell on the altar of freedom on this day and now and forever we remember them with respect and all those who fought and fulfilled the generations’ dream for a state.
The Epopee took place on the same day as the NATO bombing commenced against the targets of the Serbian genocidal regime and it represents the budding of freedom, sealed by the military actions of the North-Atlantic Alliance.
