The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, sent today its comments on the Consultative Report of the Energy Regulatory Office on the Review of the Tariff Structure for Regulated Household Customers Served under the FSHU.
This document presents the positions of the Office of the President regarding the new tariff structure proposed by ERO and provides concrete recommendations which would result in respect for the principle of non-discrimination, affordability, equal access and regular energy supply. . Among other things, in these comments, it is emphasized that:
“For the President of the Republic of Kosovo, the main objective remains the observance of the principle of affordability, equal access, and regular supply of electricity. Based on this, ERO is required as it has stated in the published document, to ensure that ‘public consultation [is] at the centre of effective regulatory policies. Respectively, ERO is invited to seriously address the comments and recommendations of stakeholders and to integrate them adequately in the final document, so that the new tariff structure is not discriminatory and unaffordable to groups of respective consumers in the country”.
