President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, took part today at the concluding ceremony of the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, which held its proceedings from 10th to 13th of June in London, United Kingdom.
Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, largest of this kind to date, was organized by United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary, Mr. William Hague and Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Ms. Angelina Jolie.
The Summit was also attended by the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Catherine Ashton, representatives of the United Nations, Various foreign affairs ministers and senior representatives from around the globe.
Yesterday, President Jahjaga addressed the Summit participants with a speech, which was welcomed by all present.
The closing ceremony was attended by the US State Secretary, Mr. John Kerry.
