The First Gentleman of Kosovo, alongside President Osmani, participates at the Clinton Global Initiative activities in Sofia

The First Gentleman of the Republic of Kosovo Prindon Sadriu, has accompanied Her Excellency, President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu to the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) event in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she participated as a special guest of Secretary Hillary Clinton. This important event provided a platform for productive exchanges and discussions on key global issues, including Kosovo’s progress and women’s empowerment.

During the participation in several CGI activities, Mr. Sadriu had the honor to meet and speak with senior officials participating in CGI, including the well-known lawyer and publicist Cherie Blair, wife of the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, with his counterpart from Iceland, the First Lady Ms. Eliza Jean Reid, with CGI executives and other senior representatives.

Discussions focused on several topics, with special emphasis on recent developments in Kosovo and initiatives aimed at advancing women’s empowerment. Mr.  Prindon Sadriu emphasized Kosovo’s positive steps in various fields and underlined the importance of fostering a favorable environment for the empowerment of women, both in Kosovo and globally.

The First Gentleman’s participation alongside President Osmani at the Clinton Global Initiative reaffirms Kosovo’s commitment to engaging constructively on the international stage and contributing to meaningful discussions on urgent global issues. The presence of President Osmani and of the First Gentleman at CGI illustrates Kosovo’s commitment to development, inclusion and cooperation in addressing the challenges of our time.
