The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga and the representative of Her Excellency, Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency, Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, signed today in Abu Dhabi the agreement for a donation of over 22 million euros for the construction of a new Pediatric-Surgery Hospital within the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Imet Rrahmani and the Director of the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, Her Excellency, Maha Taysir Barakat.
President Jahjaga stressed that this very much needed hospital for the health of children in Kosovo will help us to improve the care for the children of Kosovo. The President thanked, on behalf of the people of Kosovo, Her Majesty for this generous aid for the children of Kosovo pledging that this clinic will hold her name with pride.
The new clinic will start to be built during the summer of this year and the complete project of the hospital is expected to be completed within one year. The project includes specializations in neonatal health services, orthopedics, neurology, urology, endocrinology, cardiology, oncology, hematology, and emergency medicine.
President Jahjaga is visiting the United Arab Emirates. Yesterday, the President reached the agreement on economic cooperation between Kosovo and the UAE, which marks a new and very important page of bilateral relations, in the mutual interest in various fields.
