“Republic of Kosovo is committed to strengthening the current good relations and broad cooperation with the Republic of Kosovo” – the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu said at a meeting today with Bulgaria’s newly-appointed Ambassador to our country, Mr. Krasimir Tulechki, who presented his credentials of accreditation as an ambassador.
“A boost of cooperation between our two countries and all other countries of the region is a paramount objective of Kosovo’s institutions and people, who will never forget the unreserved support that the Bulgarian state and people have provided to our long struggle for freedom and independence” – President Sejdiu affirmed.
“In the region, Republic of Bulgaria represents a good model of a successful political and economic transition and speedy completion of the process of integration into the European Union, NATO and other international institutions” – President Sejdiu pointed out, reaffirming Kosovo’s resolution to fulfill the standards of integration into these institutions as soon as possible.
President Sejdiu also thanked Ambassador Tulechki for Bulgaria’s support in defending the legitimacy of independence of our country with the International Court of Justice.
On the other hand, Ambassador Tulechki said that Bulgaria will remain an important partner to the Republic of Kosovo in the future and will back its aspirations for becoming a full member of international institutions as soon as possible.
“Bulgaria has and will forever stand by you and will provide a full support to your democratic institutions” –Ambassador Tulechk promised.
