The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received yesterday the outgoing Director of the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT), Brigadier General Dr. Sven Lange, and the Acting Chief of Current Operations at the International Staff, Operations Division at NATO Headquarters, Ms. Blanca Hereza Atienza.
During the meeting, Madam President expressed her deep gratitude for NATO’s continued commitment to security and stability in Kosovo. She also appreciated the important NALT support in the development of Kosovo’s security and defense institutions, especially in the development and professionalization of the Kosovo Security Force, emphasizing that this cooperation has directly influenced the strengthening of the country’s professional and institutional capacities.
Madam President particularly praised the work and dedication of Brigadier General Dr. Sven Lange, who is successfully completing his one-year mandate as NALT Director. On behalf of the institutions and citizens of Kosovo, she thanked him for his valuable contribution to strengthening cooperation between Kosovo and NATO.
Madam President also reiterated the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to peace, stability and Euro-Atlantic values, as well as to NATO integration.
