President Vjosa Osmani received the Ambassador of Türkiye to Kosovo, Sabri Tunç Angılı, with whom she discussed the excellent bilateral relations and current developments.
She expressed deep gratitude for Turkey’s continued support to Kosovo, both historically and during her mandate, especially in the fields of defense and diplomacy. Madam President praised Türkiye’s role in strengthening the KSF capacities and in supporting Kosovo in the process of its international recognition.
Special thanks were extended to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his commitment to Kosovo, as well as to Ambassador Angılı and the Embassy of Turkey for their continued engagement and support.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership in the interest of peace, stability and development.
At the end of the meeting, the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers between Kosovo and Turkey were also mentioned, on which occasion the desire was expressed that this match be characterized by sporting spirit and mutual respect.
