President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi received today the Chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Safet Gërxhaliu, accompanied by several successful Kosovan businessmen.
President Thaçi thanked them for their commitment and their work in the private sector, offering them full support and cooperation as the country’s president.
“We have worked together for a long time and you will have my full support as president of the country. You are here along with the people who have given spirit and power to Kosovo’s economic development, who have created thousands of jobs and increased welfare of citizens. What makes us in Kosovo feel good today is that a better, attractive business climate is being put in place, and I believe that the institutions should stay close to businesses and businesses need to be close to the institutions in terms of a strong partnership that would contribute to a even better, faster and more qualitative development of our country”, President Thaçi said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Safet Gërxhaliu, thanked President Thaçi for his participation at the opening of the “Prishtina 2016” International Fair, adding that this is an evidence to the business community that a priority in President Thaçi’s agenda is the economic development and improving of the image of Kosovo.
“We are here to ffer you partnership, as he have done in the past, and we belive that your objective was the economic diplomacy. In this regard, together we will achieve quite a few. We need your authority and image of e lader that you have established not only in Kosovo, but also wider and thus it is time for us to declare war on our joint opponent – unemployment, lack of foreign direct investment”, Gerxhaliu said, adding that such support and dialogu with the private sector is a guarantee for Kosovo’s future and perspective.
President Thaçi stressed that the role of the businness community is crucial is indispensable to open up new prospects in the new Kosovo, especially now after the signing of the Stabilization Association Agreement with the European Union.
