Prishtina, May 6, 2020 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, had a telephone conversation today with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, in the framework of the preparations for the Zagreb Summit that will be held this afternoon.
President Thaçi expressed gratitude for Croatia’s insistence for the Zagreb Summit to be held even in the conditions of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
“We are grateful that you have insisted for the summit be held in these conditions and that you are keeping the Western Balkans high on the EU agenda”, said President Thaçi.
“Kosovo and Croatia are strategic partners in the region and in the European perspective”, added the President of the Republic of Kosovo.
Croatia is the next EU Chair in the first half of this year and the priority of its Chairmanship is to bring the EU closer to the Western Balkans.
