Podgorica, August 2, 2017- The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, who is in Podgorica, attended today the Adriatic Charter Summit ‘US-Adriatic Charter’ (A5), which this time is co-organized by Montenegro and the Republic of Macedonia.
On this occasion, President Thaçi said that the Adriatic Charter Summit, ‘US-Adriatic Charter’ (A5), is very special this year.
“The participation of US Vice President, Michael Pence, only a few months after Montenegro’s NATO membership, is the best evidence that Kosovo’s membership and other NATO membership aspirant countries, will be implemented”, he said.
Before the start of this summit, President Thaçi held a bilateral meeting with Montenegrin Prime Minister Duško Markovic, with whom he agreed to deepen political, economic, trade, cultural and educational cooperation.
On this occasion, President Thaçi said that Montenegro’s membership in NATO has created a new momentum in the acceleration of the membership process of the remaining Balkan states in NATO.
Also, during today’s session of the Adriatic Charter Summit, ‘US-Adriatic Charter’ (A5), President Thaçi will develop a bilateral meeting with US Vice President, Michael Pence.
