The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Justina Shiroka Pula, met with the Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Zejnulla Gashi; the Chair of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Arian Gashi; and the Chair of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Mr. Rrustem Thaqi.
The Chief State Prosecutor, the Chair of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the Chair of the Kosovo Judicial Council congratulated President Shiroka Pula on her election to the office of President, wishing her success in fulfilling her constitutional and institutional responsibilities.
Discussions focused on the importance of an independent and efficient justice system, as well as the role of institutions in strengthening the rule of law.
President Shiroka Pula emphasized the importance of an independent, professional, and impartial justice system—one that ensures the enforcement of the law and fosters public trust in institutions. She expressed her institutional support to the strengthening of the rule of law and for the fulfilment of the constitutional responsibilities of justice institutions, while respecting their independence.
