Upon his return from a successful visit to Malaysia, the President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu, had a meeting with the members of the North Atlantic Council, headed by the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
At the meeting, President Sejdiu thanked the NATO Secretary General and all the NATO member countries for a vast support that they have and are still providing to Kosovo.
President Sejdiu also apprised them of general state of affairs in Kosovo and reaffirmed the strong commitment of the people and institutions of Kosovo to building a free and democratic society, resolved to advance quickly towards Euro-Atlantic integration, in a permanent partnership with the NATO.
Furthermore, President Sejdiu referred to process of building the capacities of the Kosovo Security Force, repeating his request that Kosovo Security Force takes part in NATO peacekeeping operations, even in symbolic numbers.
President Sejdiu also responded to the curiosity of the North Atlantic member country ambassadors about specific issues related to the general evolutions in our country.
