The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during her visit to Albania, met with the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania Lindita Nikolla and with the representatives of the political parties in the Assembly of Albania.
According to President Osmani, parliamentary diplomacy has a vital role to play in promoting cooperation between Kosovo and Albania. In this context, President Osmani and Speaker of Parliament Nikolla also discussed the possibilities for increase of cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries as well as the exchange of experiences and capacities.
According to President Osmani, there is a joint commitment to the advancement of the interests of Kosovo and Albania, thus increasing coordination in the field of foreign policy. In this context, President Osmani laid out the need for continued support by the Albanian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for a successful completion of Kosovo’s request for membership in this organization.
President Osmani also emphasized that Euro-Atlantic integration is the common aim of both countries.
