During her visit to Malta, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani was received with state honours by the President of Malta George Vella, whom she thanked for the continued support for Kosovo and its future in the EU.
President Osmani considered Kosovo's accession to the EU as necessary, as a precondition for peace and stability in Europe.
At this meeting, President Osmani asked that Malta further supports Kosovo in the process of membership in international organizations.
The cooperation between the two countries, focusing on identifying opportunities and concrete projects of bilateral cooperation was also discussed at the meeting.
