The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, was received today in an official meeting by the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman.
The President of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Mufti Naim Tërnava, also attended this meeting with President Osmani.
During the meeting, President Osmani expressed her deep gratitude for the friendship and steadfast support that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided to the people and state of Kosovo over the years.
Stressing the importance of deepening economic cooperation and opening new chapters in relations between the two countries, President Osmani proposed facilitating free movement for Kosovo citizens through the possibility of applying for electronic visas, an initiative that was welcomed with particular interest by His Highness the Crown Prince.
The shared commitment of both countries to peace, stability and regional and global cooperation was also stated at the meeting, as well as the readiness to further deepen bilateral relations through new agreements and expansion of the horizons of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
President Osmani expressed her readiness to expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the fields of renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, food security, education, digital innovation and sustainable development, through the opening of new chapters in relations between the two countries.
