President Osmani was received at a meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Toshimitsu Motegi

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani was received at a meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi, to whom she expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the support that his country has continuously provided to Kosovo.

At the meeting, President Osmani expressed the readiness for the expansion of relations with Japan while considering this country a strategic partner of Kosovo.
“Republic of Kosovo is Japan's most reliable partner in the Balkans, and we anticipate continued support in the strengthening of Kosovo's international position, respectively in obtaining new recognitions and membership in international organizations,” said President Osmani at the meeting with Minister Motegi.
According to President Osmani, the two countries can increase cooperation via inviting of Japanese investors to invest in Kosovo. Madam President stated that there is room to further increase cooperation in the fields of education, defence, healthcare, environment and others, and once again reconfirmed the readiness of the Kosovar side for full engagement in this regard.
Following the meetings with the Japanese senior officials, President Osmani is expected to meet with the Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
