The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, participated today at the International Interparliamentary Luncheon on Capitol Hill, as the guest of honour, and gave an address at the Interparliamentary Security Forum.
During the International Interparliamentary Luncheon, organized within the framework of the Annual National Prayer Meeting, President Osmani spoke about the journey of the people of Kosovo from the greatest challenges to today’s achievements, as well as the unwavering commitment to combat malignant forces and influence in Kosovo.
At the International Interparliamentary Luncheon, Madam President was invited alongside the King and Queen of Burundi, the Prime Minister of Fiji, as well as numerous American congressmen, ministers and deputies from around the world. On this occasion, she had the opportunity to discuss with them the expansion of bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, at the Inter-Parliamentary Security Forum, President Osmani focused on Kosovo’s strategic role in countering the malign influences of China, Russia and Iran, emphasizing the unwavering partnership with the United States of America.
“American investment and engagement in Kosovo, in addition to benefiting our security and development, is also in line with the objectives of the Trump Administration. This would also prevent the spread of Russian hybrid warfare, Iran’s ideological influence and China’s economic pressure in the region. Kosovo is a steadfast ally that strengthens US influence in Europe and the Balkans,” emphasized President Osmani.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo is a strategic asset for the US in confronting destabilizing influences in Europe and remains fully committed to the strategic interests of the United States.
Among other things, President Osmani reiterated the importance of American investments and investments in Kosovo’s critical infrastructure, ensuring the country’s energy independence and sustainable economic development.
