At the invitation of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, represented the Republic of Kosovo at the meeting of the leaders of the European Union and the Western Balkans in Tirana.
President Osmani stated that the European future is our ambition.
“This year we are taking a step forward towards the EU by submitting our membership application. This was the key message of the Republic of Kosovo at the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tirana, said President Osmani.
The Head of the State further said that as a country with the greatest improvement in the rule of law in Europe, and with a historic increase in the ranking for the fight against corruption, Kosovo continuously contributes towards peace, security and the strengthening of common democratic and European values.
“While we are one step closer to the visa-free regime, I once again encouraged our European partners to complete this process and move forward together”, emphasized the President.
