President Osmani Remembers the 26th Anniversary of the Mitrovica Market Massacre

Today, 26 years later, we remember with pain the seven innocent lives that were tragically lost in the Mitrovica market massacre, where the criminal hand of the genocidal Serbian regime aimed to break the spirit of a people fighting for freedom with grenades. Among the victims were children and women, innocent people who faced brutality instead of peace.

128 citizens were wounded that day, and the pain was forever etched in their bodies and in our hearts. It was a ruthless attack, a barbaric act that was intended to sow fear, but instead, it sowed strength and determination. Mitrovica was not broken. Kosovo was not brought to its knees.

Today, we bow in reverence before those who lost their lives, before the wounds of a city that became the symbol of resistance. On this anniversary, we renew our commitment: we will remember, we demand justice, and we move forward.

Glory to the victims of the Mitrovica market massacre! Glory to all those who fell for the freedom of Kosovo!
