The President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the credentials of the Ambassador of Slovenia, Mrs. Minca Benedejčič. President Osmani welcomed Ambassador Benedejčič to the Republic of Kosovo, emphasizing that the Republic of Kosovo and Slovenia enjoy excellent relations and that she expects these relations to further expand.
According to President Osmani, Slovenia serves as a good example to be followed by the Republic of Kosovo on its journey towards the European Union and general development as both a democratic state and society. President Osmani also stated that she expects support from Slovenia, as a country that holds the EU Presidency to the Republic of Kosovo in the visa liberalization process.
Ambassador Benedejčič thanked President Osmani for today's reception and stressed that Slovenia has stood by Kosovo and its citizens at all times and that her country will continue to support the Euro-Atlantic integration process of the Republic of Kosovo. She stressed that she will engage in further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries, including economic and cultural cooperation.
