The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received in a regular meeting the Ambassador of the United States of America, Jeffrey Hovenier.
The latest developments, the current security situation in the country, the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, and the changes in the American administration following the elections were discussed at the meeting.
President Osmani expressed gratitude for the historic bipartisan support and cooperation with the United States and underlined the joint engagements to maintain peace and stability.
In relation to the changes in the US administration, as a result of the last elections, President Osmani reconveyed Kosovo’s congratulations to President Trump and his cabinet, as she emphasized that Kosovo’s alliance with the USA is existential and expressed the hope that the excellent cooperation will continue with the new administration as well and that Kosovo will perdure in the American focus.
