On the eve of the commencement of the population and housing census project in the Republic of Kosovo, President Vjosa Osmani received the representatives of the Central Commission for Population and Housing Census.
The draft questionnaire prepared by the commission, which will be used for the population and housing census project in September and October of this year was presented at the meeting.
On this occasion, President Osmani emphasized the importance of carrying out the registration and demanded that this project be carried out in accordance with the highest European standards. Furthermore, she also pointed out the importance of inclusiveness, as well as the suitability of the questionnaire with the relevant indicators for measuring the progress of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. President Osmani estimated that the updated and comprehensive statistics contribute to the compilation of the best policies that address important socio-economic issues in the country.
President Osmani confirmed the readiness for cooperation and full support of this project, as well as for other initiatives and projects carried out by the Kosovo Statistics Agency.
