The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received the Mayor of Arbëresh municipality of Strigari, Damiano Baffa.
According to President Osmani, the cultural and linguistic identity of the Arbëresh is a valuable part of Albanian identity and culture.
In this context, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo remains dedicated and engaged in preserving the Arbëresh identity and improving their position within the Italian state.
The possibilities of Strigari’s cooperation with the municipalities of Kosovo was also discussed with Mayor Baffa, in order to promote Arbëresh culture in Kosovo and that of Kosovo in Arbëresh municipalities, as well as the preservation of heritage and bilateral cultural exchanges.
