The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani in respect of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities received the representatives of the Kosovo Paralympic Committee and of the Handicap Students organization.
At both meetings, President Osmani expressed her support for this category and emphasized that their inclusion, employment and dignified life are daily objectives.
According to President Osmani, the institutional care for this category should not be focused on a single day, but throughout the year and for this reason President Osmani will allocate this year an additional 100 thousand euros in subsidies only to organizations of people with disabilities.
President Osmani also expressed her readiness to support the Paralympic athletes, who will represent Kosovo at the Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024.
At the meeting with Handicap Students, President Osmani emphasized that all organizations of disabled persons will have their doors open throughout the year with support to them provided in different manners.
Furthermore, President Osmani potentiated that access to fundamental rights and freedoms for persons with special needs should be a priority of all institutions.
