The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu received today at a meeting the EULEX Head, Mr. Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, with whom she discussed the latest developments in the country and the cooperation of state institutions with international ones in various fields.
President Osmani praised the support that EULEX offers in the fight against gender-based violence, specifically in the work of the mission in providing assistance to local institutions for the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.
President Osmani also discussed with Mr. Wigemark the rule of law, appreciating the importance of the vetting in the justice system with the necessary constitutional and legal changes as necessary to strengthen the rule of law, respecting the highest international standards in this process.
