President Osmani received the credentials of the new non-resident ambassador of Canada to Kosovo

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the new non-resident ambassador of Canada to Kosovo Ms. Jessica Blitt, on the occasion of her presentation of her letters of credence.

President Osmani congratulated the ambassador on her new tenure and expressed deep gratitude for Canada’s support to Kosovo and for the excellent cooperation. Ambassador Blitt stated that on her part there will be greater engagement in various areas of mutual interest of both countries, especially in issues related to women’s empowerment and gender equality.

The readiness to open new chapters of cooperation was confirmed, as well as the joint engagement to advance the Agenda for Women, Peace and Security was discussed at the meeting.

Madam President also informed Ambassador Blitt with the latest developments in the field of security in the country and emphasized the great importance of continuation of the cooperation with allies, as well as the need to bring the perpetrators of the act of aggression of September 24th to face the justice.
