The President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the credentials of the Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo Antonello De Riu. After biding welcome to the new Italian Ambassador, President Osmani pointed out that Republic of Kosovo and Italy enjoy excellent relations and that she expects that these relations expand further.
Italy, according to President Osmani, has been a continuous supporter of the political process in Kosovo and is continuing to help us strengthen our statehood.
“Our long political and cultural ties are an example of cooperation. “We expect to deepen these ties even further, especially in the cultural cooperation and education of the youth,” emphasized President Osmani.
According to her, the increase of academic exchanges, of youth mobility and the creation of bridges of cooperation between our youngsters should be at the centre of attention.
Ambassador Antonello De Riu thanked President Osmani for today's reception. He said that Italy will continue to support the Euro-Atlantic integration processes of the Republic of Kosovo.
He also stressed that he will engage in further strengthening of the bilateral relations between the two countries, inclusive of economic and cultural cooperation.
