The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the new non-resident ambassador of Ireland to Kosovo, Mr. Ragnar Almqvist, on the occasion of the presentation of his letters of credence.
President Osmani congratulated the ambassador on his tenure, while Ambassador Almqvist added that there will be greater engagement on his part in various fields of mutual interest of both countries.
At the meeting, both sides emphasized the very good relations between the two countries and their further expansion of our relations, with a special focus on cooperation in the exchange of experiences and best practices.
Madam President thanked the ambassador for Ireland’s continuous support to the Republic of Kosovo in all international organizations, and especially for Ireland’s support to Kosovo’s application to the Council of Europe, as well as for the continuous support within the European Union.
President Osmani also informed Ambassador Almqvist in greater detail with the current challenges that the Republic of Kosovo is facing, as well as the act of aggression committed by Serbia on September 24th.
