The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi.
The preparations and consultations being made to set the date of the regular parliamentary elections were discussed at the meeting.
The CEC chairman informed President Osmani on the issues which, according to the CEC, are important to be considered during the evaluations related to the setting of the election date.
The diaspora voting was also discussed, as well as the steps that should be taken in order to implement this right as defined by the new law.
Madam President also emphasized the importance of carrying out all the necessary arrangements for easy access for people with special needs on election day.
President Osmani also expressed confidence that the CEC, as an institution responsible for the administration of elections, will take all the appropriate actions and within the specified deadlines for the election process to be carried out respecting the rights of citizens as well as the highest democratic standards.
