President Osmani received the Ambassador of Great Britain, Nicholas Abbott

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott, who congratulated her on her appointment and expressed the expectation that institutional stability will enable the implementation of reforms in various fields.

President Osmani discussed with the British Ambassador about the commitment of the institutions of Kosovo to fulfill the key priority in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic regarding the provision of vaccines for all citizens of the country.
President Osmani has expressed readiness to intensify Kosovo’s relations with Great Britain in the field of trade exchanges and cooperation in the fields of security, defense, culture and education.
Ambassador Abbott reaffirmed the UK’s commitment for further support, expressing its readiness to deepen cooperation in the field of human capital empowerment, such as education and culture, but also in the field of security. President Osmani and Ambassador Abbott discussed about the continued support of the United Kingdom in the process of recruiting leadership positions in public institutions to ensure transparency and appointments based on professionalism and integrity.
President Osmani thanked the Ambassador of Great Britain for the support that the British state has provided to the Republic of Kosovo over the years and stressed that the long-term strategic orientation of Kosovo remains NATO membership.
