President Osmani received Nicole Chulick, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of State, Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received today Nicole Chulick, of the US Department of State,  Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor. The latest developments, the further expansion of Kosovo-USA cooperation, and Kosovo’s ongoing achievements in strengthening of democracy, the rule of law and human rights were discussed at the meeting.

On the issue of human rights, President Osmani said that Kosovo has the most advanced legal framework in Europe, which stems from the Constitution of the Republic. In this regard, President Osmani emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to preserving multi-ethnicity and protection of human rights of all citizens of Kosovo, without distinction. She also stated the importance of gaining membership in the Council of Europe, as an additional guarantee for preserving and promoting human rights, democracy and the rule of law in the country.

President Osmani also reiterated that every success of Kosovo also bears the seal of the USA and has confirmed the commitment to further cooperation in this spirit.
