President Osmani received at a meeting the United Nations Development Coordinator in Kosovo

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu received today at a meeting the United Nations Development Coordinator in Kosovo (UNKT) Arnhild Spence.

On this occasion, President Osmani congratulated Mrs. Spence on her new tenure, wishing her success in her engagements. President Osmani emphasized that investing in human capital is a priority of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and that the engagement in advancing the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals remains a constant commitment.

President Osmani also expressed her gratitude for the work carried out by the UN Agencies based in the Republic of Kosovo which, in cooperation and regular coordination with local institutions, have regularly contributed to the improvement of the well-being of the citizens of Kosovo.

President Osmani confirmed that engagement toward the empowerment of women, the advancement of rights of children with special needs as well as the advancement of the green agenda, are priorities in this mandate.

Discussing the latest developments in the region and the world, both parties also spoke about regular cooperation in dealing with the energy crisis, as well as easing the burden of citizens as a result of socio-economic developments.
