The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who is visiting Kosovo for the first time since our country became a member of this organization.
President Infantino's delegation comprised of the FFK President Agim Ademi, President of the Albanian Football Federation Armando Duka and the president of the Football Federation of North Macedonia Muhamet Sejdini.
Kosovo is the 210th FIFA member state, for which membership President Osmani thanked President Infantino as it was he who placed Kosovo's admission in the grand house of football on the very first Assembly of this organization after he took over the leadership of this organization. In this context, President Osmani also mentioned the extraordinary contribution of Fadil Vokrri for admission to UEFA and FIFA.
According to her, Kosovo is already a member of FIFA but it needs help in terms of sports infrastructure, mentioning here the new stadiums needed for Kosovar athletes.
At the meeting with President Infantino, President Osmani discussed the possibilities for new stadiums as well as other investment projects in sports infrastructure.
President Osmani requested FIFA's support for Kosovo's young athletes and mentioned the little girls' football club, which according to her needs viable infrastructure.
Participation of Kosovar teams in international competitions was also discussed at the meeting.
