The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu received today at a meeting the incoming UK Government's Western Balkans Director Madeline Knox and the UK Ambassador Mr. Nicholas Abbott with whom she discussed the latest political and security developments in the country, in the region and in the European continent.
President Osmani informed Ms. Knox of Kosovo's democratic developments, regional challenges as well as the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to expand cooperation with British partners in the achievement of common goals.
The funeral ceremony of the late Queen Elizabeth II in London that brought together heads of state from around the world to honor the historical legacy of the late Queen was also discussed at the meeting. In this regard, President Osmani highly appreciated the unifying role held by the late Queen.
