The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received a delegation of the Labor Friends of Kosovo group from the United Kingdom, whom she congratulated on the victory of their party in the last elections.
According to President Osmani, the establishment of this group is an important moment in the relations between the two states and that it will play an important role in the sustainable partnership between the two states.
President Osmani thanked the United Kingdom for its steadfast commitment to supporting Kosovo, as well as its continued engagement to peace and stability in the region.
“Freedom came with Labor”, quoted President Osmani the words of former Prime Minister Tony Blair in 1999, and in this context emphasized the necessity of continuing the support to Kosovo by the United Kingdom.
According to President Osmani, a safe and stable Kosovo contributes directly to a safer Europe. Hence, she potentiated that in bilateral cooperation, cooperation in the field of defense and security should be under a special focus.
The expansion of cooperation in other fields of mutual interest and to the benefit of citizens in both countries was also discussed at the meeting.
