The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the Minister of Culture Hajrullah Çeku, on the 6th anniversary of the sanctification and the 25th anniversary of her passing away, visited the House of Sisters of Mother Teresa in Pejë.
In memory of the Albanian saint, President Osmani expressed her deep gratitude to her sisters for their unsparing commitment to serve the people of Kosovo.
“Missionary sisters, who provide help silently, out of everyone's attention, have been taking care of the poorest for years, for those whom Mother Teresa loved the most. They offer them shelter and food, take care of them and keep them close with love, according to the example of the great Albanian missionary, Mother Teresa”, stressed President Osmani.
According to her, being with the poor every day, sharing their pain, the missionary sisters are setting an example of how love and respect should reign among people.
“Mother Teresa held these principles close to her heart. We will always be grateful to them for this example of dedication and love that they offer to our poorest,” said President Osmani.
