The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani during her working visit to Singapore was received by the President of Singapore Halimah Yacob.
Despite the long geographical distance, President Osmani said that Kosovo is interested in intensifying relations with this country in Southeast Asia, especially knowing the potential of trade cooperation.
In the context of the expansion of relations with this country, President Osmani emphasized that Singapore has made tremendous progress in technology and in the field of defense, and has hence shown readiness for focused cooperation in these areas. According to President Osmani, this cooperation should be extended to other areas, such as education, energy, and many others.
The President also presented Kosovo's potential as an investment opportunity from Singapore and in this context mentioned, among others the young and dynamic population, a cost-effective labour market and numerous incentives for foreign investors. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of State for Development and Foreign Policy, Mrs. Sim Ann.
