The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, who is currently in New York where the 78th session of the United Nations Assembly is being held, had a meeting today with the President of Kenya, William Ruto.
President Osmani thanked her counterpart Ruto following Kenya’s decision to recognize the passports of the Republic of Kosovo and at the same time she expressed the need to expand diplomatic relations to the benefit of citizens and both states.
“We are looking forward to the undertaking of joint steps that will bring our countries and nations closer together,” said President Osmani.
The possibility of economic cooperation between Kosovo and Kenya was discussed among other issues at the meeting, as well as the promotion of commercial and economic exchange.
During the meeting, President Osmani also spoke about Kosovo’s commitment to sustainable development and the possibility of joint initiatives in areas such as renewable energy and climate change.
