President Osmani met with the Portuguese Home Affairs Minister Eduardo Cabrita

On the second day of her visit to Portugal, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani met with the Home Affairs Minister Eduardo Cabrita, and members of the law enforcement forces of this country, who have served in Kosovo.

President Osmani thanked them for their contribution, highly appreciating the role of Portugal in the engagement in Kosovo since 1999.
She praised the relations between the two countries, committing to the opening of a new chapter of cooperation. President Osmani emphasized that the Kosovo Police at the Balkan level has the highest trust of the citizens of Kosovo. In this context, President Osmani asked Minister Cabrita to exchange experiences in order for Kosovo Police to be able to benefit from the experience of the Portuguese Police Force.
President Osmani also pointed out at the meeting that Kosovo is clearly directed towards its European path and that its primary objective remains its membership in the EU, NATO, INTERPOL and in other international organizations.
President Osmani thanked Portugal for being a strong voice in support of visa liberalization and the process of membership in international organizations.
