President Osmani met with the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who is on an official visit to Texas, USA, held a meeting with the 43rd President of the United States, George W.  Bush, whom she thanked on behalf of the people of Kosovo for his extraordinary commitment to the freedom and independence of Kosovo as well as his continuous support to our country.

President Osmani emphasized that President Bush was a strong supporter of Kosovo’s independence, a friend and ally of the people of Kosovo, noting that his legacy lives in every chapter of the Republic of Kosovo, which has its origins in the Christmas warning of President George H.W. Bush,  his father.

During the meeting at the Bush Institute in Dallas, President Osmani expressed deep gratitude to President Bush for his support and solidarity for Kosovo, highlighting the important role of his leadership in the declaration of independence.

“Enough is enough. Kosovo is independent”, is the prophetic phrase of Kosovo’s independence by President Bush in Tirana in 2007, which will remain engraved in the annals of history as a firm affirmation of Kosovo’s right to be independent. “President Bush was the messenger of Kosovo’s independence”, emphasized President Osmani.

Furthermore, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo’s alliance with the United States is a testament to shared values and dedication to freedom and democracy.

Meanwhile, President Bush spoke respectfully of Kosovo since its declaration of independence and its journey towards state-building, consolidation and strengthening of its international position. He reiterated his enduring friendship with Kosovo, expressing confidence in a more prosperous future where Kosovo is integrated into Euro-Atlantic structures.
