The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who is staying in New York where the 78th session of the United Nations Assembly is being held, had a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein BrahimTaha.
During the meeting, President Osmani expressed her appreciation for the ongoing support and commitment of the OIC, especially for the annual Resolution initiated by the OIC, which calls for the recognition of Kosovo by all member states of this organization.
In this spirit, the President expressed the hope that the member states, which have not recognized Kosovo’s independence, will do so in the near future.
President Osmani and Secretary General Taha reiterated their commitment to the promotion of stronger and more productive relations between Kosovo and the OIC.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo has considerable untapped potential for foreign investments in various sectors. In this context, President Osmani laid out the need to explore possible areas for economic cooperation between Kosovo and OIC member states, with a special focus on trade and investments.
At the meeting, President Osmani invited Secretary General Taha to visit Kosovo in the near future to further examine the possibilities for the expansion of mutual cooperation.
