President Osmani: MCC’s investments in Kosovo are investments for the future of Kosovo

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, upon an invitation by Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Alice Albright, participated in the activities held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the MCC, organized within the Summit USA-Africa in Dallas, Texas.

At the executive table, which was attended by the Presidents of Liberia, Malawi and Cabo Verde, as well as with the Prime Ministers of Mauritania and Sierra Leone and numerous representatives of the American government, cooperation in addressing development challenges was discussed.

President Osmani thanked Ms. Albright for the continuous support of the MCC for economic development in the energy sector in Kosovo.

According to President Osmani, Kosovo, from a country destroyed by war, has transformed into an advanced democracy in the region, with a developing economy and reliable partners.

“The partnership between the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the Republic of Kosovo has been a transformative journey, bringing significant benefits to the people of Kosovo and its economy, as well as marking a special chapter in bilateral relations”, emphasized President Osmani.

Projects like this, for President Osmani, are confirmation of Kosovo’s special relationship with the USA.

“Investments from the MCC are not only investments in infrastructure and economy, but an investment in the future of Kosovo, for the people and the stable partnership between Kosovo and the USA”, stated President Osmani.

Furthermore, President Osmani emphasized that MCC’s support for Kosovo serves as a catalyst for economic development and attraction of investments.

“The MCC programs in practice helped to transform lives, redesign policies and restore the link between the energy sector and the economy,” said President Osmani.
