The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani stated that KLA Veterans Day is a contemplation and glory of an unfading heroism.
President Osmani wrote:
KLA Veterans Day is a contemplation and glory of an unfading heroism.
Today we honour and bow down with great respect to the heroic deed of the veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army – the men and women who sacrificed everything for the freedom of the homeland.
December 30th is a date that embodies the immortal heroism of the legendary commander Adem Jashari and his family, who on December 30th, 1991 fought the first battle against the Serbian regime. This battle was not just an armed confrontation, but an act of courage that marked the beginning of a new era in the struggle for freedom and statehood. They were joined by thousands of men and women who stood up for their homeland in the most difficult times, thus becoming the emblem of our state.
Eternal glory to the martyrs of the nation and eternal respect to every KLA veteran!
