The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, during her visit to Prague, in attendance at the first summit of the European Political Community, held a trilateral meeting with the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron and the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz.
President Osmani thanked France and Germany for their commitment to visa liberalization for Kosovo, mentioning the crucial importance of this process being completed during the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU. President Osmani also reconfirmed the excellent relations with France and Germany, as strong allies of Kosovo on the European continent.
In this context, President Osmani reiterated the position that Kosovo's membership in the Euro-Atlantic structures is necessary to guarantee sustainable peace and stability in the region.
Speaking in relation to the dialogue process with Serbia, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo continues to remain a constructive party in this process and thanked France and Germany for their efforts to intensify the dialogue process. Kosovo is interested in concluding the dialogue as soon as possible, with mutual recognition, preserving the territorial integrity, constitutional order and institutional functionality of the Republic of Kosovo.
President Osmani emphasized the need to advance relations between our states and nations as well as strengthen cooperation in foreign policy and asked that support for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe and Euro-Atlantic structures continues further.
