President Osmani at the inaugural EPC summit calls for support for Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic path

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, at the inaugural summit of the European Political Community (EPC) in Prague, joined 44 leaders from the European continent to discuss fostering political dialogue and strengthening cooperation to address the most urgent issues of security and stability in Europe.

During the summit, President Osmani reiterated the strategic orientation of the Republic of Kosovo for Euro-Atlantic integration as the best guarantee for peace and security in our region. In front of the European leaders, President Osmani called for support for this process.

In relation to Russia's war on Ukraine, President Osmani pointed out the solidarity of the people and institutions of Kosovo with the people of Ukraine, stressing that our people best understand their suffering caused by Russian aggression.

In this regard, President Osmani stated that European states must remain united in their stances and actions against the hegemonic and destabilizing goals of Russia and its proxies in Europe and in our region in particular. This unity must be shown through cooperation on issues of security, economy, energy, combating propaganda and cyber attacks, said President Osmani.

In addition to participating in the main sessions of the European Political Community, President Osmani is holding bilateral meetings with European leaders to discuss further expansion of cooperation in overcoming common challenges.

The European Political Community is a platform for political coordination created on the basis of the proposal of French president Emmanuel Macron where the leaders of the 27 member states of the European Union (EU) and the leaders of 17 other European countries have joined together.

This initiative aims to promote dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest, strengthening security, stability and prosperity on the European continent.
