Today marks 23 years since the assassination of the KLA soldier, Colonel Tahir Zemaj, along with his family members, son Enis and cousin Hasan.
Colonel Zemaj was a professional officer, an extraordinary patriot, a freedom fighter and a close associate of the historic President Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.
His murder remains an open wound and a painful reminder that justice for some crimes still awaits.
The memory of Colonel Zemaj and his family members is a moral and institutional obligation to the truth, to justice, and to the Kosovo that they dreamed of and fought for.
