At the end of her visit to Washington D.C., President Osmani attended the dinner hosted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi in honor of the Munich Security Conference Leaders meeting.
President Osmani and President Pelosi had the opportunity to discuss the current security situation in Europe and in particular in the Balkans. In this regard, the importance of partnership and continuous communication on both sides of the Atlantic to guarantee peace and stability was emphasized.
In the evening, President Osmani had the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Kiril Petkov, Senator Bob Menendez, Senator Lindsay Graham, Congressman Gregory Meeks, as well as other officials and guests.
President Osmani stayed in Washington D.C. at the invitation of the organizers of the Munich Security Conference Leaders meeting, where Madam President was one of the keynote speakers at the discussion on transatlantic cooperation on energy security and the keynote speaker on the organization regarding the increasing role of women in politics.
